Is the standard PVA primer OK for ceilings near the shower if I use mildew resistant paint to finish? Or should I double up with the resistant primer as well?

I have yet to find a video talking about primer. If it's necessary for bathrooms since it has a special bathroom paint. If primer is required or not.
