That's a straight up laser line right there. Very impressive, I've been painting for 2 years now and I'd consider myself decent, it's always cool and humbling to see the masters at work.

A good brush helps alot honestly, , good cut in there..also don't panic if miss tiny bits on first coat as second coat you can go over it..also lay your oaint of back and fourth in a downward motion as to help eliminate halo effect

Yes, and it's easy to learn. I saw it once, tried it and got it. I actually enjoy corners now:)

You are a very skilled tradesman. Please do a video on how you clean your brushes. Thanks.

Wow thank you. I’ve always struggled with the corners. Never thought to use the vertical axis…

I enjoy taping as much as i enjoy painting. This is the faster way to do it not the right way. You usually have to wait for the paint to cure well enough to add tape otherwise it will take paint off and your back with the same problem. Some people got skills but no matter how good you are with the brush there will always be visible brush strokes.

Honestly this was so enjoyable to watch. Come paint my house mate you should see the state I’ve got my living room in 😂

Definitely helps if the join between wall and ceiling is actually straight, square etc and not muddled up with old filler, various layers of plaster and whatnot 😂 no chance of painting a straight line in my house

Saw a video of a guy doing this saying you dont need to lay down any protection for the floors or use tape just take your time blah blah blah.. i layed down the plastic taped off the edges, and boy, am i glad i did 😂 im no painter, and I've made a huge mess, but thankfully, it's all on the plastic and tape 😅

Also use an oval brush onstead of a block brush. Just like the one on the video

What a man. My cutting skills are fair but always struggled on inside corners. No more!

That is handy when your wall is smooth. When it is not smooth but have structure pait underneith or spachtelputz wall, you can not move the burh this easely

I’m 22 and have only worked retail jobs. It’s almost 1 am where I am and I’ve decided I want to become a painter like my grandfather and actually do something with my life. I gave you a follow just now so I can learn. This was one thing I was worried about messing up in my room painting it. And I did. I did mess it up. But now I know how to.
How does one get into this career? Trade school? I’m very broke. If you could offer any guidance it would be much appreciated

Hello, this short, is perfectly concise and informative, thank you 🙏 - one question, what is the ultimate cutting in brush in your opinion?😂

Can you post a link to the brush you use for cutting in?

Looks like you are using a straight bristle brush. Is a diagonal bristle brush better for cutting?
