I’ve learned, don’t trust family when it comes to property. Get an independent inspection before any money changes hands.

Wow, I didn't expect that story from the Philippines. I'm a Filipino so it's a common trait for some of us here, and those "get out of jail card", never gets old

Story 1: Entitled Aunt thinks she can sell a house, let the buyers eat the $300, 000 cost of "a little renovation, " and then buy back the newly-improved house for less than she sold it. What is the color of the sky in the world she lives in? She clearly isn't living in the same reality that everyone else is.

I’m like 9 months pregnant and stressing about small stuff. I found this channel today and it’s helping me so much to chill the heck out and focus on these stories instead. Thank you.

So ain't no one gonna talk about how Nice Husband is actually Cleavland Brown and how much of a chad he was in this story alerting these folks someone was at the gate trying to claim the house?

Why would you be a Jerk for not letting someone buy a house back for less than half the price that you bought it for. That aunt sounds like she has some sort of RPG logic where she sells it to you for profit and buy it back for a lot less.

I'd use the family tactic and voice raising tactic. Filipinos have very close familial relationships to the point that some clans/families have their relatives as their neighbors and usually have a very very soft spot from them. Most of the common parents I see in PH are literally oblivious of the law but can still be very hard to deal with since they're a cunning bunch and always use the family card(which is always very effective most of the time) when things get dicey. Anyways, using the family tactic might buy us some time before she returns but if it wasn't effective then raising the voice is the 2nd most effective tactic since raising your voice(not giving ur aunt any chance to retaliate) and making sense/spitting fax while the neighbors are listening is bound to make her go away without even coming back.

She really left the house like an evil villain "this won't be the last you see of me"

1 million pesos (if this is a Filipino problem) is about $20k and 300k pesos is about $6k
This might seem cheap in the international familys eyes but these are (most likely) years of hard work
I was shocked since Filipinos are known for kindness and love for their family, friends, and even neighbors

I have a similar story. My mother bought a house from my aunt Tammy and then flipped the house and resold it for far more, my aunt got pissed that she sold it for way less than she could have and now is punishing me and my mother for her own dumbassery.

I have a very large family. My father the youngest of 7, me being the oldest of 10 and all my aunts and uncles having about 4 or 5 kids of their own. We have one major rule in our family. You screw over family and you deal with every single one of us. We would have drained her of every single thing she owned and left her hanging with nothing.

the one made me laugh was at 6:30, when the entitled aunt said "why would you lease the house to someone i don't know" if i was there i would told her "ma'am im here to told you that, that how lease system work, you can lease some house/apartement to everyone who want to lease it as long they got money to pay the lease bill"

1, 3million Pesos for an entire House+ Renovation? I'm guessing they mean Mexican Pesos. That would equal 64k USD. That's one cheap house!
EDIT: apparently they meant Philippine pesos. That would make 24, 8k USD. Which is even crazier to me. How can a House be soooo cheap? Especially if it was renovated.
