I don’t feel this is self soothing but about suppressing emotions (which is NOT healthy).
Self soothing is recognising, validating and processing your emotions. This is healthy.

Self soothing tips sound good. Do you have tips for setting boundaries that are healthy? How do you speak up? It's good to release the anger and anxiety, but we also might need to address the triggers whether its our own stinking thinking or the actions of others.
