1: go to Settings 2: my fire stick tv, 3:go to very bottom factory reset. Confirm with passcode and done!

If your "settings" are empty, wait for it. At the end he gives the remote control shortcut to reset it (back and right-ring).

doesn't work, didn't free up any memory, reinstalled apps and it held on all my passwords and stuff. Even some apps that I downloaded before were still installed. and I picked the option to NOT RESTORE after it rebooted

WARNING if do this like i did get ready for downloader to stop being able to install apk's and other items to stop working, one of amazons new updates is to remove permissions and there is no way to get them back i spent a whole day in chat with amazon and was told so sad to bad no can help. time to scrap the firestick for something else.
