Mine stopped working, fairly sure its the power supply area so trying to open it. Its still stuck at the end opposite the HDMI although the mifdle is barely connected anymore any ideas?

I had to remove the chasis since my 2nd version firetv 1080p is getting very hot, even I use it with wired ethernet adapter. I got some help from a flat screwdriver and easly managed the take it off without a damage. but whats that strip sticked in to the plastic chasing, looks brownish, is that some kind of antenna? it is sticked into the model no written part. Does it make any harm without using the chasis? I believe performance will be better with better ventilation without the chasis. Please comment about possibel issues. Thanks guys.

I opened mine, because it wasn’t working, and the micro usb port came off. Maybe it is that the problem, but can I just put “melt metal” on it in order to make it work? I just don’t know how to say that in English, hope It is clear
