Great video, and I agree. We've gotten very creative reusing water or melting snow. We have had many pipes bust during winter and have lost electricity for days so we have learned to be prepared for certain weather issues. Plus we've camped a lot and use to not having the normal life style. We are officially off grid part time now. We spend 4 nights on the property and the other three days in town to prep and check on my mother. glad you guys are good, still praying and now catching up on vids!

So relieved to see your face healthy and safe! We have no well and haul water. We have a 2500 gallon house tank and several tanks around our property for animals. We have a pump on our house tank and use submersible pumps connected to a small generator for the other tanks. We save all of our gallon jugs and fill with water and a few drops of bleach for emergency water.
I am so happy to hear that you and your family are okay. It's been devastating to see so many of the homesteaders I follow experiencing so much loss.
We have several children and grandchildren and my mother in law in the path of the coming hurricane Milton. We are on edge to say the least. We have propane in our gas grill and could boil water. We also have camp stoves we could use to boil water. I always carry a life straw with me in my vehicle and have made a home made water filter system with ceramic filters just in case (home made Burkey ).
