I want to transition from pool to ocean swimming and I’m scared. I need to practice jumping into deep water and recovering. Your tips were reassuring. Cheers mate

Thank you for sharing this video it truly taught me how to get of deep water my swimming instructor didn't teach me how to get to surface! You are giving life lesson skill this is very important in swimming thats number one reason why people drown because they don't know how to get to out of deep water, you should open swimming school!

Safe driving depth is 12 ft. Or 4 meters. And always dive with your hands overhead until you start to rise.

I once fell into 12m deep water, can tell that my instincts kicked in and don’t even know how I survived, because nobody could hear me.

I don't think I'm ever going to learn how to swim. I have extreme anxiety and a lot of phobias, with thalassophobia being one of them. Seems like the first step I need to take to learn how to swim is to go see a psychiatrist/therapist. 😢

In a few days I'll jump into deep water for the first time ever, I'm a little nervous. But this helped 😀

I taught myself free style using swimmers snorkel so i could do laps never having learned to swim or even dunk my head so it took me a while to get over fear of water and then watching youtube vids to learn how to freestyle and am still mastering side breathing but still not able to go more than 5 breaths but wont quit. i am 69 years old. problem is i feel i have to be in water not over my head. Not sure what to do in deep water or deep end of pool and wish i could feel no fear. i go to lake right now but soon will be cold again.
