Hi Dr, I am in Brasil and had my front tooth nr 22 above replaced with the implant, here they like to put a temp teeth on top of the implant directly after the stiches. But it is not screwed in all, it is placed after the seal of the implantand then glued to the side of both teeth on either side. They say this must stay there for 6 months untill the permanent crown will be placed, I am worried about infections starting under that temp tooth and into the bone later. Thank you. Especially if you edentulate at all immediately before placing implants. There will be resorption at those and adjacent sites. The industry has gone a bit rogue in the promise for instant gratification via full arch reconstruction.

I have looked into this form my lovely wife. Having seen people take this approach, the results to me always seemed not natural. Like a Bentley grill on a Volkswagen kind of weird. CPR is something that needs to be done quickly and efficiently. New teeth are an elective procedure and logic says to take the time needed to get it right. Its not a Nascar race.
