Saucony Ride 15 Review - After 200 Miles

When it comes to running and training for a marathon you can end up putting a lot of miles into your shoes. It's important that you are able to find a shoe that will help you through all kinds of different runs. Anything from fartleks, tempo runs, threshold runs, marathon paced runs, hill repeats, easy days and even long runs. With the Saucony Ride 15, my hope was to find that shoe that was a bit of a tweener and could do it all

In this review I go through my thoughts on Ride 15 and let you know whether this shoe has worked out as my tweener

I've got over 600 miles of cross country training, and while the foam is slightly less cushiony, it still works great for basic recovery runs. Definitely a lot of miles for your dollars.

This shoe has done really well for me. I run collegiate and I use it for long runs and track workouts. They’re lightweight enough to where I feel quick doing interval work and they’re cushioned enough to where my feet don’t hurt after a 10 mile run or something. I used to religiously wear pegs and although they were good to me it dawned on me that yes there are better shoes out there

Great review, I have the same Men’s Ride 15 in that exact same color. Bought them at Running Room in Moncton, N.B. 🇨🇦 1year 2months ago.

Used them here in Taiwan 🇹🇼( where I live ) a lot and was happy with them. The upper blue mesh just broke exposing my foot last week.

Just bought the new Ride 16 in white /Gravel w/ cool blue color on inside of the shoe.
Will run in the morning & try them out.

Thx 4 the review

Just picked up a pair yesterday after hearing a lot of positive reviews. Their is a definite consensus on the ups and downs of this shoe. My favorite daily trainer has been the Novoblast series, I have V3 on preorder. Due to knee and hip joint problems, I decided to try a firmer shoe. Hope my experiment works!

Hey Matt, how would you recommend it as a Marathon Day shoe. Obviously considering a break in period of 3 months and some 300kms before the Event Day

Great review! Between Ride 15 and Triumph 20, which one would you recommend?

Nice video! Have you tried the Runshield version of Ride 15? The Runshield version should be water-resistant but I'm not sure whether it's breathable.

Hey
Thanks for the update. I was going to get some Ride 15’s to replace my Triumphs. But then the only place I could buy a wide fit here in the UK was from Saucony direct (where I don’t get my club discount) they aren’t selling the womens wide fit through normal distribution route and I have an orthotic and found that the Ride 15 standard width has less volume than the Triumph standard width. So initially I was a bit annoyed as I then just had to go and buy another pair of Triumph 19’s. So my question is for long runs which do you prefer? If you could only buy one for that purpose which would you get Ride 15 or Triumph 19? Just to add I have a pair of Kinvara 13’s that I can use for short runs/ tempo etc
I wasn’t worried about waiting for Triumph 20 as I think the stack height has increased and if anything I want to reduce stack not increase.
