(Seriously, people appreciate these TV hanging tutorials. esp for choosing the most practical easy to install mount. The options are confusing. Also, just watched a good video about hanging heavy items on walls with off-center studs. Just screw a narrow 17"-18"" wide wood plank to the wall studs, then attach the heavy fixture to the plank, centered. Very simple strong solution. (This idea works for hanging heavy tools too. And you only drill two holes in the wall, instead of drilling multiple hanging hook holes across the wall.)

Did you overlook the 4" drop to account for owner wanting top of TV 4” below the plug? Your 5 1/2" drop should be 9 1/2".

This guy is gud!I was a framing and finish Carpenter my whole life. These does a lot of the framing and sheetrock is subbed out to Carpenterters, who don't care one bit if there blocking or even if a stud is 16" on center. They're selfish goal is to get in and out as fast as possible and believe me, they are experts at one thing only and that is cutting corners.Also be sure the contractor shows you a copy of his insurance.
