Nothing says "I'm never going to use this jig again" like starting a campfire as you drill each hole for 5 minutes without extracting the bit a single time.

I bought this set while I was in the hospital, and thanks to pain meds, I bought 2.
Really like this, as I don’t see a Festool Domino in my future.
Thanks for showing that there’s always a few different ways to something in woodworking!

A wire brush with brass bristles is a handy way to clear the debris from a drill bit between each hole. Brass is softer than steel so it won't even scratch the bit, but it gets rid of the crud and if the bit is hot to the touch, it saves you from having to touch it to clear it. I keep a small brush with my drill and use it frequently. Works like a charm every time.

I thought it was funny how you were using a Festool drill to show off their competition to the domino! Plus it was bizarre seeing you wear shirts other than red. Thanks for sharing this!

I feel like we're getting into "cut an actual mortise and tenon by hand" territory, time-wise, with this product.

I thought dowels were slow and tedious! But wait, lets add 4 more holes cuz that makes the process 4 times more enjoyable😁

I love your style and how you talk to the beginner woodworker!!!

I get tired using pocket holes when I do sparingly use them, imagine setting this up twice for for 5 holes, and that's just for one joint. No thanks.

Seems like a cool tool. But if I didn't want to buy the dominos it might be a better idea to just drill the first three holes then use dowels cut to length? Might not be as strong, but then again probably strong enough for most applications I imagine?

Imagine a DeWalt or ridgid version of the domino when their patent expires 🤣😅

I’m so glad I came across your channel. As much as I would love to buy a domino I simply can’t justify it. A little more time in the shop is a bonus to me. I will definitely check this method out. Thank you for your video. New subscriber.

Have it. Used it. Love it. Made a bed frame in an hour or so. The most annoying thing about it, it comes in a nice enough case that’s built for the entire kit. I have the 3/8 tenons. But looking at the 1/2 and 1/4 empty spaces I know I’ll get the others just because. I’m a fool.

I just got the Beadlock system a month ago and it has worked great on a desk that I'm building. Great product! Nice job on the video and I enjoyed the Impala video too.

Clear the drill flutes regularly, the drill struggled on the second hole, and even wobbled on the third ;)

Awesome. I am definitely either going to buy this, or wait until I get my 3D printer and recreate it. Waaay cheaper way of making mortise and floating tenons than the domino. Thanks a bunch dude.

What's the advantage over Dowel joinery?

Used Beadlock on one project, which made me realize I really did want a Domino.

Used this system for my first "real" woodworking project 12 years ago. Funny enough, it was for a combo dog crate end-table for our dachshund!

I guess my question... could you concevably put three dowels in there instead of the tenon? I mean I know it might have more flex, but is it an alternative?

I do a similar thing just using mutiple dowels but the problem has always been getting them all properly aligned. This is a much easier system to use and might actually be within my budget 👍
