I had no idea that any miter/chop saws had a depth stop, the 4 I've used have all lacked it. I was always just really impressed when folks seemed able to consistently hit the same depth "by hand".

I’ve gotta make 32 1 1/2 inch deep, 3/4 inch wide half lap joints and the thought of raising a dado stack to its max height frightened me, I had completely forgotten about the depth stop on my sliding miter saw. 😂
