This car is amazing for a daily sports car

I love my 2003 e85 Z4 57k miles. Same engine noise, same top speed, same trunk space, same fabric roof and weigths only 1260 kg. I've had it for many years and still looks like the day it came out of the dealer. It's not so quick though.

you have to remember you are trying these cars for a few miles in general. You say this one is almost too quiet and not seat of the pants type driving. anyone buying a car uses it sometimes for hours a day and not everyone wants a lot of noise and suspension set up for track use ect.

Launch Control in the predecessor E89 worked only if you put mode "sports plus", gear in sport, put it manually in gear 1 (!), hit brake and gas, release brake. Are you sure that you used the launch control correctly? my E89 shows a racing flag on the display, when it's activated

Maybe there is a Z4 M coming? We all know that BMW M is able to do really potent sportscars and the M Performance lineup is just filling the gap between the normal BMWs and the Ms. So I'm glad you liked it, but keep in mind this car wasn't built to be a full sportscar. It's meant to be a compromise between fun and comfort.
