I have 16, 000 Kms on my 2022 Z4 M40i and have loved every minute of it. I traded in my 09' Saturn Sky Redline which I owned since 2010 and enjoyed every time I took it out. I thought I'd miss it more... I don't LoL. The Z4 almost felt like an updated "spiritual" successor to it strangely enough. I'm a standard transmission guy and have found my left foot searching for a clutch sometimes but the ZF transmission is WAY better than I thought it would be... and those exhaust burbles when going through the twisties... Like driving a four-wheel psychiatrist... best thing I've done for my mental health since my first motorcycle. But hey, he's right, not many of them out on the road, and I like that so maybe I shouldn't be telling you all how great it is.

That B58 3.0L turbo inline 6 is just a gem of an engine. Same one in the M340i, the Supra, the X5 xDrive 40i, the X7 xDrive 40i, the X3 M40i. It's a wonderful engine that definitely does not make 382 HP xD Definitely over 400 HP at least. The engine with the legendary ZF 8-speed is perfect. The way BMW tunes a torque converter to feel almost like a dual clutch is a testament to how transmissions should be tuned for performance.

I ordered one back in May. It's sitting at port waiting for it's boat right now. After I test drove one I decided it would be my daily driver. Awesome car!

I recently rented a 30i, the 4 cylinder turbo for a vacation down the California coast and what a joy. Absolutely loved the car. Even that was fast, turned and maneuvered wonderfully and it was comfortable, it gave you the right amount of confidence. May not be the most practical vehicle but could not have picked a better car for some cruising fun.

I'm in the process of upgrading my 30i to the M40i ... I got it in Portimao Blue and its on a ship right now.. hoping to get it the first week of October. That being said... the Z4 is a great daily car for anyone asking. Granted I've had the 30i for 2 years... so that's my current experience. It's roomy, has alot of trunk space, it's an easy drive but yet extremely fun TO drive with the top up or down as you see fit. (best with top down)

0:49 just FYI, there's a handle on the inside of the trunk door to the right of the dangling lock thing, so you can close the trunk without touching the outside. I find it funny that most people don't notice it because it's not very obvious, BMW could've put an arrow sticker pointing towards it or something.

I would buy this over the Supra and I'm not really a fan of convertibles. I appreciate you mentioning that this generation of B motors from BMW has proven to be reliable, because folks are still stuck in the past with saying that the BMW reliability is poor. I'm not saying they are Toyota reliable but from my family, friends myself and others experience from owning these newer generation BMWs, good reliability has been proven.

If phone connectivity fails, a good thing to try is rebooting iDrive. To do that, hold down the power button (on the volume knob) for about 30 seconds. This used to happen a lot in my wife's 330i, and restarting the iDrive system fixed it every time.

the way i see it, the z4 m40i is the supra for those who want more of a daily driver but still keep the amazing motor, the supra is for those who just want a hardcore b58 and dont care about it potentially being harsher than the z4

I love mine. I've had it for year. There are a few around where I live (Surrey, UK), maybe 8 I see within a 5 mile radius. But its still a rare car to see. BMW should have marketed it, but maybe they spent their budget on SUVs

I Love my Z4….
It’s the perfect car for summertime bliss. It’s a perfect daily because the seating area is like any other sports car.
And…
ITS A ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE!!!

I have the same paint color and people stop me all the time asking if the paint was a custom order. Nope! It’s on the color options list for anyone to purchase.
I Love my Z4!!!
The season is almost over.
It’s time for me to spend more time in My Bronco Wildtrak Convertible.

People are sleeping on how exciting this car really is and because of that BMW is probably going to end production after 2024 model year.
I can’t say enough good things about this car. It’s just that good and rare.
