I own the car, in manual. The drivers side half of the armrest can be lowered (by design) so the driver can have cupholders and an armrest.

Physical controls, manual gearbox, and a timeless and absolutely *gorgeous* design. The headlights remind me a little bit of the Z8. Agreed with other comments that this is the nicest looking current BMW by like 3 orders of magnitude.
