How to see in the dark with infrared

Nice demo with the remote. Someone once told me that many cell phones have an IR filter on the main camera, but no IR filter on the front camera. So if the main one doesn't pick up the IR signal from your remote control, the front one will.

i remember when i was 8 yrs old i found a tv remote and i was very curious about the little bulb on it and i filmed it using a normal smartphone camera and was surprised to see a red light whenever i pressed a button!! back then i did not even know what infrared rays were hahah
