Tests I've gotten in perimenopause and menopause 📈

I also want to make a disclaimer that top experts say bloodwork is not said to be an accurate predictor of perimenopause and menopause. Look at symptoms. My results came back “normal” for years but it wasn’t until I saw an OBGYN specializing in menopause that I got answers.

Tests I’ve had 👇
1. Blood test to check hormone levels (I went after not feeling right) and I found out I was in menopause. Then, I did a test recently after going on (testosterone) to monitor my levels.
2. Bone density test since osteoporosis is something I’m always paying attention to!
3. Mammograms every single year since the age of 34. SO so important!
4. Blood pressure + cholesterol

What tests have you received in perimenopause and menopause that you have found helpful? Leave them in the comments!👇

First, thanks for talking about all these topics. I’m the same age and going for bone density this week. Just had a mammo and cholesterol also on the cusp so cutting back on buttered toast 😞

Omg, my mom was also diagnosed with breast cancer at 44 and I’ve been getting mammograms since I was 34. She’s 82 now and doing very well.

My mother had breast cancer, that progressed to the whole body . I am a little worried about hormones replacement for myself. I would like that you talk more about hormones replacement, please.

The doctors here ignored my symptoms 100%. I received zero help or orientations towards my menopause. It also contributed to ruin my marriage and I got divorced. My OBGYN refused to give me a hormonal treatment and both physicians I’ve seen ignored my symptoms and my suffering. Just wondering who should pay the bill over all these damages that started when I was 42 years old. Now I’m 48.

I have osteopenia ( diagnosed about 2016) so I take calcium tablets . Was on estrogen but something was found in my cells so I stopped taking that about 2014 . Thanks for sharing 😊 and I get my mammogram every year

You're a big expense. Just eat well and lift some heavy stuff once in a while.
