This is basically him feeling nostalgia for the time he lived in Chicago which he moved to at 18, his first time away from home and going to college and getting into music and acting. Caroline is his sister and that line references her support when he had to move I think for Stranger Things and how nervous he was about moving into his next chapter and she told him it would be fine. This is the nostalgia for that person he was in Chicago that he is no longer since he has grown since then, but he can feel it when he's back there. I think it went viral because we all have a place that feels like home away from home and a time we may miss even if we are happy now.

It's a song about him breaking up with his childhood

Had a laugh at "Steve Keery". Funny mix-up. In case nobody told you or you didn't figure it out already, it's Joe Keery, and he played Steve Harrington. Good video.

What a great album. The song it's self is such a beautiful expression of self reflection. He captured the melancholy and shared his own personal experience while also keeping it relatable. imo, that's the beauty of it's simplicity, fundamentally speaking. It allows it's self to shine when he's harmonizing in the chorus. Through so many reviews, interviews and remarks made about the song, It's clear that "Everyone has their Chicago."

I really connected with the first person perspective of pain in the first verse. holding onto tears for when things are uncertain, in the middle of the night. Then in that moment, he speaks of something specific, and that's when the music opens up, fully expressing an emotional impact and embracing it. There is a lot going on with this song. In it's core, the song shows a vulnerability to Joes self reflection on his lifes decisions and how he's changed since.

It's an amazing song.

Another one that seems like an 80's throwback. I was trying to remember of which song it reminds me. They do toss in that one chord at times that is more of a discord sound, like it is slightly out of tune. I guess a person would perhaps need a bit more background to really understand the meaning of the lyrics. Interesting song! There is a similar saying in Thailand that you can take the girl out of the bar, but you can't take the bar out of the girl. A lot of sad guys learned that. Sure was an abrupt ending to the song, that surprised me!

The song gives this Billy Idol's "Eyes without a face" vibe

The way how much emotion, synth and vape is into the song with the different patterns is captivating, I love when he says, ,And when I am in Chicago, I feel it, another version of me, I was in it."

These lyrics actually want me to visit Chicago 🥺💜

I don't think it's about a break-up. I think it's about someone leaving their hometown or city, with thoughts passing through their head, showing that they are kind of anxious or nervous. When he says 'Enter Caroline, ' it's like he is speaking her line: 'Just trust me, you'll be fine.' He is an actor, so i feel it's like a line of a script, and i heard Caroline is his sister."
