As a german i find it quite fascinating that almonst nobody knew Annenmaykantereit before this song. I've been listening to them for a long time, so i love the fact, that they're getting world wide attention from this cover! His voice is just so special, never heard something quite like it.

As a singer, I can tell you how just how hard it is to push to get that grit on your voice. Once you do find it, it is incredibly difficult to control. Once you begin to control it, it is beyond imagination how difficult it is to interject it when you want, at the given amount you desire.
May's voice is one in five hundred million at least.

You´re right when you said it seems like another band. The first room is just the band from AnnenMayKantereit and in the second room you have the Giant Rooks at first. In the 3rd verse they then join all together.
About AnnenMayKantereit, they actually started of as street musicians in Cologne / Germany in 2011 which also formed their often minimalistic style (with no acces to big instruments and no electricity you have to get creative). Most of their originals are in german and a blast to listen to. But they also did some amazing covers, like Roxanne (The Police), Cant get you out of my head (Kylie Minogue) and many others.

Henning's voice is just incredible.
In the last few years they focust just on german songs, but there are some older songs in English like "Don't give up forgiven" or "Summer Days Don't Die" that are just amazing.
