For me personally – as a 55-years-old male German – AMK is the best German band right now. I love their German original songs, because of the perfect interplay between lyrics, melody, musical execution, and of course Henning May's soulful voice.
But I also love their English cover songs together with other talented young bands. Not only are AMK incredibly talented themselves, but they are also truly “musicians' musicians” with a palpable joy in making music and making music together with other musicians.
Although Henning's unique voice is – inevitably – the outstanding feature of these covers, it never overshadows or dominates the whole thing, but blends with the respective guest singer's voice and becomes an essential part of a well arranged, beautifully crafted whole – always unique, always beautiful, always enjoyable.

Hi, Annenmaykantereit fan from Germany here <3 Thank you for reacting to them! Annenmaykantereit reactions always make me happy!! I've been blown away by Henning's voice when I first heared them in 2015 and these reactions are a way of experiencing that blissful moment with others over and over again :D
I recommend also their original songs like "Pocahontas", "Nicht nichts", "Barfuß am Klavier"

Not forgetting about the exquisit video work that's immersing us into not just the music but an entire experience together with the well chosen setting and perfect weather condition giving it a damp grey overall background without light flirs disturbing the overall impression.
