Good show! As a mom of 3, one thing I find valuable advice is never give a child a "no" without telling them a "yes". To expect a child to exhibit proper behavior without TEACHING them what is expected & polite is lunacy! Example: "No Timmy, we don't draw with crayons on the wall. If you'd like some paper to draw on, we could put it up on the fridge". And lastly- THEN you TEACH them how to clean up their own mess! Are they going to do a perfect job - of course not! But they understand if they make a mess they need to clean it. Action = consequence. I've been around kids that are absolute nightmares whose parents "don't say no to our children, we don't want them growing up in a negative environment". These are the children that are NEVER invited back!

This is how I was raised I'm the only one in the classroom that gives respect to my teacher lift them up as they lift me up as a kid I got my butt busted but let me tell you something that was the biggest learning experience in my life that showed me I was in the wrong it's all trial and error and the play thing with outer kids that helps you with friends that helps you become a better person

PETERSON MADE AN EXCELLENT POINT ABOUT CHILDREN WITH POOR SOCIAL SKILLS, SPOILED, WHINEY, DISRESPECTFUL, DON'T PLAY WELL WITH CHILDREN, SHUT OFF BY ADULTS, THIS ISOLATES THEM INTO LONERS AND THEY NEVER DO PROGRESS TO PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS. I MAKE THIS POINT BECAUSE AS A TEACHER, HATE TO SAY IT, BUT EVEN TEACHERS DO THIS. THEY TEND TO SHUT OUT DISRESPECTFUL STUDENTS WITH BAD SOCIAL SKILLS, THIS SPELLS OUT THEIR DOOM AS AN ADULT.
