You're the only person that explains how to re-mount the monster after it throws you off, thanks, that was what I was looking for.

Whenever the edges of the screen gets blurry click the move button then continue attacking until it gets blurry again because that's when the monster will attempt to throw you off without looking at the animation etc.

Oh wow you can just look at the top right when mounting. I was trying to watch the monsters animations.

Grappling onto the monster requires you a CLUTCH CLAW which can be obtained by buying the ICEBORNE content

Do you know how to use your grappling hook to mount monsters, I've seen people use it to swing on to monsters.

My friend plays as Archer and I see him using the grappler to mount monsters, I play a lancer and for a while I thought it was a class thing but then I saw a YouTube video of a lancer doing this. I play on PC and my friend uses a controller so he can't really help me in this regard. When I aim my sling at a monster, only the commands to fire the sling appear and no option to fire the grappler (even when the reticle is locked on a limb). Any help for me? Or is the lancer's 'charge-jump' my only hope for taming the beastly lightning stallion known as Kirin?
