I love the fact that in monster hunter there really isn't any meta. Just use what you like to use and if you and you're build are good then it doesn't make a difference what weapon it is.

Gunlance main here, I love how the explosions go through armor thus allowing for even more unga bunga then hammer + it's got some stylish high damage nonsense (wyvern stake + silk bindings in rise) that are just fun and cool.

Hunting Horn: the support character that almost nobody wants to be, but everyone wants one in the party. When a hunting Horn main joins the party, then it's a real party.

Addition to the hammer from a hammer-main: We know every monsters "spin around and use the tail as a whip" move and the exact timing of it! (If you want to use a hammer you either learn that or like being stepped on)
