How to Get Rid of Pre-Installed Apps on Galaxy S9

This guide explains how to disable and get rid of bloatware on the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+. Bloatware is all the pre-installed apps from Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Amazon, Lookout Security, Hancom Office, etc.

All these apps waste space on our phones, and most people never use them. Here's how to disable them, and hide them from your application tray.

Disable does not mean get rid of, disabled apps still occupy precious space of your phone

Does anyone know how to tell which apps are indeed (added/ unnecessary) bloatware and can be safely removed (if, in fact, we do find a method for removing them) without having any negative impact on the phones functionality?

I dont know much about rooting (ie I probably aught to leave it alone), but if the method involves rooting, is there any method for temporarily rooting the phone > doing what needs to be done > then "un-rooting" it, without leaving some indication to Samsung that the phone was rooted?

Thank you. And I apologize if it's a silly question.

Thumbs down for misleading title and telling us stuff that we already know how to do.

the disable option is greyed out and not selectable. I select force stop and it's running again... Now what? I want to uninstall not disable.

When setting mine up, I believe I counted 14 bloatware apps on the Verizon variant - ridiculous.

Why would you title "get rid of" when you only mean "disable." Disabling is super easy for anyone, what we want is a true "get rid of" as in delete files so there is no use of storage space. Waste of time video

Downvoted because of your misleading, clickbait title. Next time be honest.

Is there a way to stop what’s app saving pictures to your camera roll. And not just my turning off the download option because when you download the picture to view it. It just saves it then. On iPhone it’s simple to do you just have an option to not download to camera roll. But not on Android. Hope this makes sense.

How do I delete them? This is useful for disabling, but I want the icon off my phone completely.

On my Verizon note 8 I try rooting it then when back to stock with a stock Verizon rom. After installing rom via oden I lost Verizon boot logo and apps pure Samsung not carrier apps

I'm sorry to be blunt but this does not fix the problems like "get rid "of applications. You have a chance to lead the way in phone advice and this vid is not it. You did not bring up my files folder to check if the apps are still there. If one really gets to know how this BS works you will see that applications will start them self's up after taking away permissions. Make sure you look at every way a company is trying to keep its applications running even after you turned it off. I suggest you look into downloading applications off the company or organizations web site rather using the app store, learn how much RAM and space the applications in my file should be taking up just to be able to run basic functions like calling text photos so on. one will see how files you thought got deleted end up staying on you're operating system. I only am taking the time to try and explain this view for that I feel like its wrong for companies to do this to people who pay them money for a product. I never got a job or money from being a sneaky prick nor should any company for that matter. "Give me freedom or give me death" what side of the fight are you on?

The weather home attaches to your phone and makes itself the home screen. Remove weather home as your home screen then it can be deleted. That's what I did with my Android
