White collar crime are worst than murder. For example the 2008 economic crisis.

It’s easy to say why didn’t she quit and retire to a private island or something but when you got that much going on you can’t just walk away. Too many other powerful people invested. Death sentence either way.

As a Vietnamese dude, I'm really impressed by the accuracy and detail in this video. From the real estate boom driving the economy to the "Burning Furnace" operation, our leaders' effort to combat corruption like how China did recently. Also pleased to see that many Westerners are now moving past the bias that "corruption only happens in third world countries" and are seriously considering this as an example for their own first world leaders.

Siphoned off 10% of Vietnam’s GDP . OMG ! Corruption is common in developing countries but this one is worse than Bernard Madoff’s case .
Many innocent people duped & lost their monies placed with SCB in deposits, bonds, etc

You have rightly said " In poorer developing countries bribery is the way of life" . Agreeed

I believe there’s more to this story than what’s on the news. She’s maybe a scapegoat for some big top brass hi up… 😂😂😂

Corruption runs deep in Vietnam. It starts the moment you land at the airport there.

If you believe that she did this by herself, you must have no idea how evil politics truly is...

Edit: There are many men equally or even more involved in all this than she ever was.

Investigating this was so complicated because the government want to get back every penny.
It's take 5 years investigating in secret since 2017 to really know how rich her and her family are their private own property are insane.
She is a chain link in a big international money laundry operation.

I'm currently working in Indonesia and only hear headlines about the news of corruption in Vietnam. I'm surprised at how similar Vietnam is to Indonesia: corruption is rampant in both countries.

In the last 3 months alone, there are 3 news about corruption in Indonesia with huge loss. It's ridiculous.

She should have fled to Thailand or some country where there is no extradition laws.

The citizens of the US can probably actually sign a petition for a Death Penalty against corruption. If every state proposes such a bill, it could pass.
