The benefits of Vitamin D: for Sleep. [Subtitles]

In today's video we will explore the benefits of Vitamin D for sleep, and restoration. Vitamin D is often an overlooked nutrient which actually has a profound impact on sleeping patterns. Hi, Ryan! I know D is the sunshine vitamin. After spending time, outside, I feel energized, and therefore, work and play hard. Then I'm ready for sleep, tired in a healthy way.
Unfortunately, I really suffer, in the Winter, with long stretches of overcast, dreary, sunless days. When that Sun beats back the clouds, cold temps or not, I'm out catching some rays! 😉😎💋
ThankYou for another, wonderful video. Peace and Love to us all

I have been taking 10, 000 IU's of vit. D daily since end of January this year- I had a break of about 6 weeks and started taking 20, 000 IU's for two weeks from mid Oct., but I've stopped as I noticed my period is now late by just over a week- I learnt vit. D can decrease progesterone significantly (and oestrogen slightly). I do appreciate everybody is different however...it may be because I already had quite good levels of vit. D why increasing it to 20, 000 IU's affected my hormonal balance.

My blood test was low on Vitamin D and B 12 . B 12 vitamins make me eat more.

OK, I agree to the importance of Vitamin D3 / K2- but 20'000 per day? This dose might be right for an obese person as Vit D is liposoluble and disappear in the fat tissue. A normal weight person can take 2'000 to 4'000 IU per day. (If you're unsure ask your Doc). IMPORTANT: take Vit D supplement in the morning as it inhibits melatonin and you'll sleep badly :-(

I'm of the opinion that taking vitamin D in the morning and some at lunchtime works best for me .
I'm not a fan of taking anything for sleep or even thinking about sleep aids at night .
Try not to try so hard .Less is more if you know what I mean.
