I’m Vincent Racaniello, Earth’s Virology Professor.

I’m also a professor of virology at Columbia University in New York. I’ve been doing research on viruses since 1976, and teaching virology in classrooms and online since 1999. On this YouTube channel I share videos of my lectures, podcasts, and more.

00:32:40 What happens if the theorized persistent Rhinovirus was dormant in small quantities in your nose? Then wouldn't it be really hard to detect with Biofire, assuming they have a high threshold that indicates a "true infection". Then in season (like weather changes, etc.) the asymptomatic Rhinovirus hosts spreads it all over again.
