0:47:17 In addition to infection, you can just be exposed to virus without any hint of infection (i.e. PCR -, antibody - ), and T-Cell immunity will arise on it's own. I'd guess these are ppl with the right genetics and/or strong immune system that can handle a certain level of lengthy exposure to the virus. They aren't "asymptomatic". They just aren't easy/possible to infect, however will still build T-Cell memory as a signature they have been adapted to the virus.

Title: "Exposure to SARS-CoV-2 generates T-cell memory in the absence of a detectable viral infection"

The statements pertaining to the Australian vacination program are incorrect. The main vaccine to be rolled out is the locally produced AZ vaccine. This will be supplemented by other vaccines as and when they become available. The initial slowness was largely due to supply issues and I think the clotting issue is holding people back. The program is currently open to anyone over 50. Roughly 2.5 million shots have been given. This equates to almost 10% of the population, but more importantly, the rollout initially targeted the most vulnerable, older folk and those in essential services, doctors nurses etc.

If my elderly parents(ages 69 and 79) who live in Jordan want to come to the states this summer to visit (it’s been 18 months and we miss them dearly) is it safe if they’ve been fully vaccinated with Pfizer since February? I am so worried but they want to come here. Any advice?

to ignore its possible lab origins is an abdication of moral responsibility - if there was some mischief or if it was an accidental release, someone has to be held accountable - I have lost friends for no fault of theirs

Not so many exhibitions have been happening but some of Luke Jerram's "Glass Microbiology" work is on display in the Glass Studio at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, VA until early July. It might not be more than one piece. Also in the Netherlands until end May 2021. Some good images on lukejerram.com

TWIVs... What are the risks of using cruise ships as quarantine stations in transit Passengers tested and vaccinated? Early transmissions were at a time in the pandemic when we did not have testing or vaccines. Could protocols be put n place to manage/limit a potential outbreak?

Some ships are better designed to handle a viral outbreak than others. We now know more about COVID.

Ships are a viable option to transport thousand of Australians stuck offshore Hotel quarantine is not working we need alternatives to get more Australians back home. We are not managing this pandemic well, 40, 000 Australians stuck offshore denied the opportunity to return home out of fear of catching COVID, , More panic than pandemic

Every time I watch this, I can’t make it a full episode just because of Amy. She has the personality of a brick.
