Electric car fires burn at 5000 degrees vs 1500 degrees for regular car fires. These batteries can burn submerged in water. It can take 40, 000 gallons of water to put a car fire out. Entire parking garages have been condemned due to the structural damage from the intense heat. Engineers codes and standards are way behind adapting to this rapidly growing newer technology. There is no way to stop these fires quickly
