Parked electric vehicles destroyed by fire outside La Habra home

A pair of parked electric vehicles were destroyed when they caught fire outside a La Habra home Tuesday morning.

What people don’t understand is when there’s a fire in a lithium mine they just let it burn itself out it can take days and here we are parking them in driveways and garages

EV's so much better for the environment! Between the fires and pollution form the fires is doing more damage than a gas engine could. They burn for hours if not days!

I was told that a lot of the times when these cars catch on fire they have to bring in special isolated containers filled with water to put the cars in because it takes so long to fight the fire solely with hoses and even once the fire has been put out it can start up again hours later crazy

the notion that an electric car is better for the environment will be increasingly questioned. calculate the costs of mining the materials that make the batteries, how the electric grid is being produced (by burning coal?)...They say don't even throw away small DC batteries because they will pollute the ground, so there's the question of contamination of ground soil. Add to this the cost of these spontaneous fires...
