Pilates is the goat, definitely built my strength and body composition ... But the same things don't work for everyone

I do Pilates 6 days a week and can affirm you’ll def build strength if you go consistently, my 6 days is purely for mental but frankly 3-4 times a week is probs the sweet spot

I agree with her 100% Pilates are my favourite go-to but adding the last 2 bits really does the best for your body. Use them in unison. Go Keltie! I'm with ya xoxoxo

Disclaimer: results after only doing Pilates 1 to 4x a month. Those who do more should expect more results ❤

Ive been doing pilates everyday for 2 months. I AM so much stronger, my muscles are far more defined and my cardiovascular stamina is greatly improved… gurl.

1-4 times per month? Be serious now- how much can you expect from anything if you don't do it regularly? I'm pretty sure my running/swimming/flexibility would not improve if I only worked on it 1-4 times per month...

Lmfao hide the 1-4 times a month right at the end

I really love using Pilates to keep my body balanced. It conditions my smaller supporting muscles I normally don’t for weights and cardio. When I do use those major muscles, I don’t injure myself because I either don’t have the mobility or the muscle balance.

UGH! You are a GOD SEND! Thank you for being honest!! We need more people telling us the truth of our fitness journey!

My body doesn’t recover from stress very well. I’ve tried weights but I don’t think I’m there yet. Seriously ready to give Pilates a try!

ty for mentioning results other than your physical appearance!! we need to see more of that 💗

your experience is misleading!! you should've made it very clear that you only did it 1-4 times A MONTH!!! like seriously how can anyone see ANY RESULTS from that, you would only discourage people from gaining strength using pilates, , 1-4 times a month is not even an experience lets better say you've "TRIED" Pilates

Pilates definitely was a game changer in body composition for me, but it is definitely a marriage of all training

It does improve strength? 😅 being able to do body weight moves in strength for instance holding blanks etc. it is also really good for cardiovascular system so anyone who is unable to do higher impact workouts and cardio intensive Pilates really helped me build my exercise tolerance as I have pcos and PoTs

Pilates alone is great for those who don’t have fitness goals but definitely want to maintain good range of motion and healthy joints. Pilates paired with other forms of workout is an excellent support tool, helping you recover quicker, and allowing you to perform heavy weighted exercises at a full range of motion with a reduced risk of injury.

It’s one of those things that definitely depends on your goals, but she is right in saying Pilates won’t do everything, but it is an AWESOME form of support for many things. 👍

I’m right there with you- running is my favorite. I also do resistance training and pole dancing too!

I used to do cardio (thai boxing) 6 times a week, but it had such a small impact compared to my daily pilates now. believe it or not, pilates gave me more muscle definition than thai boxing 😂😂

I'm confused. Did you do it more often than 1-4x per month during those 3 years & have now reduced?

THANK YOU for not pushing this as the end-all be-all of exercises. Your honesty is greatly valued.

Yeah! I think weight training is great if you’re trying to do all the gains and stuff and if what you’re looking for is strength, toning and flexibility Pilates has done that for me.. and I’ve seen a huge change in my body I pair that along with walks and seed cycling and my body is looking really good. Pilates is not easy! before doing all that crazy strength training one should be able to handle their own weight effortlessly and let me tell you, It is not that easy! lol I’ve personally seen changes with Pilates but the difference is I like a more slim toned look so it depends on the person’s goals 😊
