My mom side is dominican I lived there for 2 years its so hard not to gain weight over there with those kind of foods but because of how many fresh fruit and veggies there are its actually really easy to stay healthy too if you can control yourself.

All of you from other countries who don´t have tostones (fried plantains) really need to taste them once in your lives. Buy a couple of green plantains and follow a guide on YouTube, use a little salt and ketchup (if you like it). You won´t regret it.
Don´t let them go cold, though!
