A summary of World War One.

Italy was not 'treated badly'.
I hope that isn't what your history teacher told you, because then he would have twisted the truth reeeeal bad :-)
Both the Allies and the Central Powers tried to gain Italy as an ally, and both sides offered rewards in the form of land, which would be taken from the loser.
The greedy Italians got a better offer from the Brits and French, who gave them huge chunks of Austria-Hungary. The treaty was (you guessed it) secret, and nobody bothered asking the people who'd been given away (you guessed it again).

For ww1 it was Herbert Henry Asquith was the prime minister who led Britain into World War I in 1915. David Lloyd George became prime minister in 1916, and he continued the war effort.

World War I isn't just a conflict in Europe. It is called a world war for a reason. This is because of New Imperialism which was rampant at the time. Countries, especially Great Britain and the Dutch, were doing what they could to colonize. This war affected millions of people in Africa and Asia because of this (not to mention Russia and Japan with the Russo-Japanese war predating the Great War). Sepoys (Indian soldiers working under the British) fought in the war as did many Africans who believed they could gain freedoms through a show of loyalty. Not only was America involved, but Mexico as well when they were used with the telegram (whether it was forged or not is lost to history) that brought America into the War. If this was not a world war, then I do not know what that would consist of.

Incorrect, Great Britain joined when Germany invaded Belgium. Not the United States

When Germany invaded Belgium it ticked off Great Britain, and eventually it joined the war because it had a treaty with Belgium. It was not the U.S.; America joined in 1917 towards the end of the war because of the Zimmerman Note, and Germany's unrestricted warfare. Previously the U.S. wanted to stay neutral and have peace until it was eventually angered by Germany.

Honestly if you don't know the difference between when the US joined the war and when the Brits joined the war and why, this video shouldn't even be uploaded because it is historically incorrect in soooo many ways. I'll list a few

1. Britain (NOT THE US) joined when Belgium was attacked. The Brits joined because they had an alliance (treaty) with Belgium. The US joined in 1917 near the end of the war when Mexico was promised US land by the Germans if they won (a secret agreement to attack the US). Another detail was the Zimmerman Note, which is when the US officially joined. The event called the "Zimmerman note" was a product of when the German U-Boats destroyed the Lusitania passenger ship, angering them enough to make them join the war.

2. Italy was not "badly treated" (if your history teacher told you this he is either completely one sided in the subject of war or just not properly educated). Both the Allies and the Central Powers wanted Italy on their side so they offered land from opposing countries in order to catch their attention. They switched sides because of the secret agreement (treaty) between them and Britain (as well as the French) where they would get a HUGE chunk of the Austria-Hungary land if the Allies (who at the time looked like they would, and they did) won the war. Italy of course changed sides however the French, Italians and British were the only ones who knew that the treaty existed or the portion which was being given away.

3. World War 1 was caused by the internal time bomb of Europe however it WAS A WORLD WAR. It was not a war between Europeans otherwise the US, Mexico and other countries outside of Europe would not have been involved.

4. No matter what the world thinks there are terrorists everywhere. Int he present time the Muslims have been taking heavy blows. Yes, I know that there are some Muslims that are terrorists, BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT ALL OF THEM. This is the kind of attitude that has caused wars before people and I hope that this isn't one in the future.

That is all that I have learned about WW1 ( that needed to be corrected from this video) however if I am wrong in any way pls correct me. And if you want to add on some details about the war pls do. i am very interested in learning more and correcting my mistakes that I could've accidentally learned or made.

The invasion through Belgium made the entry of the UK into the war, not the USA.
Those became involved after Germany tried to influence Mexico into attacking them, not just the U-boot campain.

And btw, the french expeditionnary corps in the orient freeing Serbia, and making Hungary, Bulgaria and Austria surrender might also have helped the now isolated germany to see reason. Just sayin'.
