Ciaran Hinds, playing "Pop, " is my favorite actor, with an impressive range and versatility. From Persuasion, The Sum of All Fears, Eclipse, The Man in The Hat, and in all of his many roles, his acting skills are remarkable and his humanity, humility and intelligence show through all of his work. He deserves an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Belfast.

When Caitriaona accepts her Oscar, I wonder if she'll thank Ron n Maril for giving her start. Outlander is a juggernaut for her, but this film could be the launch of an astronomical career in film as well. Can't wait to see it, and can't wait to watch the awards she deserves.

truly, one of the best films of the year. The entire cast gave a splendid performance, a SAG ensemble nomination is a lock, they COULD win though. And what a masterful comeback from Kenneth Branagh!

My family left Belfast in the sixties as well, but prior to the troubles. I have always missed my home, been back many times, and left my heart there.

I’m 69 years old I was born in Belfast Northern Ireland so the 1960s was my time as a child. I was there before the troubles and as the troubles began I’ve experienced loss and real fear. I was too young, at the beginning of the troubles, to recognize the signs of what was to come in Belfast. But I’m old enough now to recognize these signs in the United States today. Paramilitary like groups of people dressed in camouflage uniforms with long guns. The rise of extremist ideologies. A dysfunctional government. America is more divided than ever. Believe me when I tell you I truly hope I am wrong.

I feel oddly proud for Jamie Dornan! 50 Shades was bad and I bet it was not that enjoyable to make (either for him or Dakota Johnson), so I'm glad that the fame he got from it brought him to projects like this. It looks very good, can't wait to see it!

Saw this movie last night. Absolutely loved it and I thought to be very poignant. America has been going throw its own Troubles in the past 2 years and it did a great job of showing the cost and stupidity of fervor without preaching, while focusing on the beauty and humanity of the people caught in it. Must watch!
