From lauded director Kenneth Branagh, and starring an acclaimed ensemble cast, Belfast is a personal and joyful story about the power of memory, set in late 1960s Northern Ireland. At the center of the film is Buddy, a young boy on the cusp of adolescence, whose life is filled with familial love, childhood
hijinks, and a blossoming romance. Yet, with his beloved hometown caught up in increasing turmoil, his family faces a momentous choice: hope the conflict will pass or leave everything they know behind for a new life.

Great film, very authentic with brilliant, natural acting. Loved the Van Morrison soundtrack too & Jamie’s singing🥰 That wee lad, Jude Hill is a star! They’re all stars but he’s the best.
Some of my cousins left Belfast to go to Australia. Anyone from Belfast will identify with this story, especially if they lived through these times. It will make you laugh & tug at the heart strings. Thanks Kenneth & Co for this “Belfast” gem xxx

My wife and I watched this last weekend with friends of ours. We LOVED this movie! The cinematography was outstanding, acting impeccable and what a great script! And to top it all off, Van Morrison wrote a lot of the music! Highly recommend!

Good movie, saw it on during a long haul flight. Good representations of the era, the music clothes, cars and streets, the fire and brimstone clergyman.

I couldn’t agree with these comments any more! Fabulous film, fabulous acting, fabulous soundtrack! Jude Hill was absolutely brilliant - a superstar in the making, and Love Affair’s ‘Everlasting Love’ provided the perfect touch - it sounds brilliant in this trailer, and it sounded brilliant in the film! It is well deserved of Oscar recognition! ❤️😊👍

‘Belfast’ is a great movie. Thank you ☘️It reminds us that organised religion has woefully lost its spiritual way, when even ‘devoted’ Christians can persistently hate each other because they belong to a different sect. Muslim, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Sikhs etc, etc - For the love of God, please let’s keep spirituality private and public life secular. Only then can we finally, truly know world peace by loving our neighbour and allowing ourselves to be embraced by the timeless, universal love of God.

So sad that a film like "power of the dog" praised solely because of its subject matter, will probably win more awards than this gem of a movie.
