Bizarre on Why He Left D12 (Part 12)

In this clip, Bizarre spoke about D12 releasing "Return of the Dozen Vol.2," which featured former D12 member Fuzz Scoota. Bizarre then explained how he tracked down Fuzz through one of their mutual friends, and after keeping in touch, he sent Fuzz a D12 song that he hopped on. After Bizarre played Eminem the track, Bizarre revealed that it was Em's idea to put Fuzz back in D12. Bizarre then explained how Fuzz quit his job to go on tour with D12, and Bizarre explained how he saw a shift in Fuzz Scoota while D12 was on tour, and he addressed Fuzz leaving D12 again. Moving along, Bizarre explained the impact that Proof's death had on the D12's ability to stay together. The Detroit rapper then shared why the group finally decided to break up and some of the business decisions that contributed to his desire to go solo once again.

This is a great interview. I remember being in Detroit at The hip Hop shop and St Andrews shelter on Friday night. That's why I heard Erykah Badu on and on for the first time. And outside of the hip Hop shop around 95 I heard bizarre's demo tape from my man DJ O Love. Facts

D12 is my top hip hop groups. I get tired of seeing YouTube videos were people talk about “why did D12 fail?” Well you could make the same video about NWA or G-Unit or Wu Tang. It’s hard for a successful hip-hop group to stay together because if you’ve got to hit albums that go platinum or double platinum or whatever the other members are going to get solo opportunities. Yeah, I know Wu-Tang eventually got back together and released a third album years later, but in their prime, they really had to albums. That’s what it seems happened with most really good hip-hop. G-Unit, NWA, Wu Tang, Westside Connection, Slaughterhouse, …… all of those groups put out two LPs and that was it. So no, I would never consider D12 a failure. It’s not like they had an album that flopped and they still have a fan base today. I don’t know why D12 get singled out for certain things but then when the same people talk about other groups that had the exact same career almost it just isn’t brought up..
