I like how “breaking out of a Florida prison” is enough to describe the arc that reset the god damn universe

We all know the reason why part 6 had the timeline reset was really just because you can never truly escape a Florida prison without there being true consequences. Florida always wins one way or another.

I think Kakyoin could have prevented this since no one can deflect the emerald splash.

This is actually a smart decision on how to solve the issue of power creep. With stands that can influence time from stopping time, erasing time, and then fast forwarding time to the point where the universe resets, where do you go from there? How do you top that? How do you make a more powerful threat?
Answer: You don't. You make a whole new world.

You said part six was constrained to “modern day” but in actuality it was even harder, because it was near future. It was set in 2011, and written in 2003. So all of the technology depicted in it is wildly different to what we actually had, no wonder he did a reset, imagine trying to predict what would happen in 2015 onward from the year 2004

Heads Up: No, Araki didn't cancel Part 9.
This video is about the Alternate Timeline experienced in Part 7 onwards, and why Araki chose to do it.

I kinda feel sorry for Emporio
He's the only one alive from the og timeline, the last remnants from his universe. The weight of that pressure has got to be trauma inducing

The end of an era, the beginning of another. Stone Ocean made people cry, made people feel unrecognizable emotions, it's story and characters moved everybody's hearth, it is for sure more and more appreciated starting from this day. The 1st of december 2022 - the last episodes of Stone Ocean were aired and together with them, the original Jojo timeline, the OG Saga delivered it's end, completing the roundabout.

This is why I love Araki, Stone Ocean is one of my favourite ever endings to a story and SBR is my favourite piece of fiction ever and yet Araki makes a big change like this so effortlessly, also that title gave me a heart attack ;_;

Ironically if Araki wanted to create a truly terrifying part he can just make it "normal" we have all built up a tolerance for bizarreness that at this point normalness will just hit different

A lot of people don't realize that in the ending of part 6, the universe didn't change or reset. It's still the same universe, with the same characters. The only difference is that Pucci never existed. Without Pucci's influence, Jolyne and the others could live a normal life. So the ending isn't even sad (despite that I still bawled my eyes), in fact, it's actually a happy ending. The only sad part is that no one remembers everything they went through except for Emporio, that's why Emporio was crying at the end.

I just realized that Pucci won. But with not the characters but us: Araki reset the Manga, resembling part 7 like part 1, stories we have already seen, fate being forced upon us, we all know how it’s going to end, we have seen it.

That’s even more fourth wall breaking than Rohan. Damn I just love part 6 and Pucci. Great story, sad ending. I need to finish 7 ASAP

Really love how Araki handles the power creep of JoJo universe. When the power becomes too OP, he will step back to make more room for more creative illustration of stand power.

I'm so grateful we live in a timeline where Araki is still writing jojo, these truly are the『Great Days』

Really shows why Araki is on a level only few mangaka can ever reach.

Anyone else feel existential dread when watching Stone Ocean? I mean, I just finished JJBA part 6 today, and it was such a bittersweet ending. Is it possible to think something's good, while not liking it?

Stands in part 6 weren't attained from stand arrows but just from the aura Florida radiates
