Instant sub. - I just want to thank you for making this video. I've been dying to learn manual photography, but I've been so timid when it comes to all the... terminology. I just can't thank you enough

As a person who has a difficult time learning, I found your video quite easy to understand.

I love this... Superb explanation. Excited for the rest of this series.
I would love to know more about how to expose for your ambient. Which dial do I use for making the background darker for off camera flash.
Cheers..

Great video, as usual! Now could you consider following it up with crop factor? Preferably before MFT dies, haha. I'm especially interested in seeing whether it applies to aperture and light gathering from that. Because I rented an X-T4 recently to see how much better it is compared to my trusty G90, and it turns out it wasn't any brighter at the same exposure settings. Many people seem to be under the impression that the crop factor applies to light gathering as well... well, is it? ^^

I plan on going out tonight! The moon is up during the day, early evening, my only concern are mosquitoes!
Thank you for this tutorial.

Is shooting in manu mode Good on all cameras or it depends on the types of cameras or lenses?

I'm not denying that manual can do good things but...One of the first photos I put into a photo competition was a snow scene in a local park. The judge commented that "the exposure was well-controlled". I had taken it with a fairly cheap camera, (certainly not capable of RAW), in totally automatic mode.

With the same camera I took some photos of fireworks, hand held. I think the fireworks came out BETTER than seeing the fireworks live. If the fireworks makers could get them to look like what I captured, I think they probably would. I suppose this might be called "creative photography". I remember reading an article saying how difficult it was to photograph fireworks, and all the things you "must" do to get good photos. I suppose that would be true if you were trying to capture what they looked like live. But could put people off from just having a go.

Interesting how nobody come up with idea of smooth ISO dial like a gain... For example you can select clickable 1600-3200-6400, but with option to smooth gain in-between values like mic amplifiers / volume gain etc, I think it would be nice to have that option, especially in digital photography world it suppose to be not a problem

Too many people buying higher end APS-C DSLR's, and using them on auto everything, because they are scared of leaving their comfort zone - yet manual photography opens so many windows for creative interpretation .

ISO is not an acronym, so shouldn’t be pronounced I.S.O.

F11. Iso 100/200. Mf on 3 meter. 1/125 s.

Good luck.

Full manual is boring. And takes the moment away from your passion.
