❎ Normally, you can request CHKDSK be run on the system drive at the next reboot. If that doesn't work, there is another way.

❎ When CHKDSK won't run on boot
If CHKDSK won’t run on boot, you can run it anyway by rebooting into advanced troubleshooting tools and running the Windows Command Prompt from there. You’ll be able to run CHKDSK as well as other useful diagnostic or informative tools on your system drive.

I got "scanning and repairing" on each and every boot... it did not even do something but to tell me and kick me to the login menu.... chkdsk with regular cmd did not work for me somehow but ur method worked like a charm. problem solved. big thanks... only tutorial that helped

Thank you very much for this. Regular chkdsk /f wasn't working for me but I managed to fix it by finding my affected drive in the advance startup cmd and ran the command again.

Hi Leo. My dog crashed into my pc while it was running. Screen froze and i restarted. Restart screen say it had to fix bad sectors. It restarted but i do not have access to c: now. I can't run chkdsk tool as windows does not have access to this drive. In "my pc" c: shows as 0 bytes. I can access the D: partition. Any ideas of how to regain access to c: ? Thanks in advance.

This is so fucking stupid all i want to do is force chkdsk and now whenever i try to go to advanced startup command prompt i have to login to my email and i put the correct email amd password and always says its wrong so now i cant do a simple thing...

Can you run check disk on more than one partition at the same time?

Tried this, I don't have the option to perform this either. Microsoft really messed up Windows somehow.
