I’ve been telling this to my family. They say everyone has their own faith. They don’t get there can ONLY be one answer. Please pray for my lost family 😭

This was incredibly insightful, I love the way he took a step back before answering the question! Let me say for anyone fearing seeming intolerant, that most unbelievers aren't afraid to tell us that we are wrong, and therefore our boldness and audacity to say the same about their beliefs will not be without company! It's important that we as Christians learn to prescribe appropriate boundaries to every encounter. Perspective is everything!

Sharing our views “in love”. I think that’s really the difference between plain judging/forcing of our belief and honest desire to share good to another person. A hard lesson I learned but i’m glad God let me see my error. I had to really ask myself, “Am i doing this for love or do i just want to assert my belief?”

In other word the new “tolerance” says that you can believe that you are right but not that someone else is wrong

This was one of the best episodes ever! Thank you so much pastor John. I am going to be more tolerant in the old tolerant sort of way, as you talked about here!

Never tolerate false beliefs being imposed upon you, why waste the time ? It just gives them confidence that they almost have you decieved.Best to just shake your head no, show them the hand and move, no use wasting time pretending to listen to a bunch of bull.Praise God and His Son Jesus. No time for losers.

5:00 this is a great discussion topic for the church. For I see that alot of brothers and sis now, who ofc slave away at work in the world and they carry this idea of this 'new' tolerance back to the church. And so if a sister is wrong, everyone hesitates to point that out. And I believe that we should all be like Paul in Gal 2, who is quick (gotta double check if it was indeed quick) to point out Peter's mistake out loud in front of all. (Although to be fair, Peter and Paul were close, and I assume that this display of rebuking was apt and tentative enough.

This is a good Sunday school lession for: About the 'World' 101, Decipleship Group 101

7:40 Corrective/constructive debate is an act of love. However, remeber proverbs 9:8-9

9:15 We do things in the open and honest, nothing underhand.

The Lord Jesus gave the example of the wheat and the tares. He said do NOT pull them up in case some of the wheat would be affected. He said He would sort it out at the judgement. So we have to live with it.

Christians we have our beliefs (based only on the Word of GOD/YHWH), act on them, don't belittle ppl (personally), just belittle evil, period.

No they should not, and they should never call all religions equal, or they are speaking blasphemy God the Father has established Jesus His Son as the only way to the Father, to be heard or for remission of sins, and eternal life through Him.The true God recognizes none other then those who enter in through the only door to heaven and eternal life, and Jesus is that door.

I greatly appreciate pastor Piper's ministry. he has been a large contributor to my understanding of God this past year among others. but I wish I could speak with him to tell him I know that he desires so greatly for the gift of tongues and that I would if I could trade that gift (as I do have the gift of tongues) for half of his ability to explain the scripture to others and his love and dedication to our Lord. Now I will add this, I am a cessationist. I grew up in a charismatic home with strong roots in word/faith movement. a shallow understanding of the gospel to be sure. not dismissing my own wicked heart I believe this shallow view of God and his truth led to a selfish wicked way of life for 17 years that may have cost me my marriage. I do not believe I was saved before but I know I am now and confidently state I am a calvinst and believe it is the proper view of the bible. and I thank God for picking me up out of the gutter cleaning me off and putting his son's robes of righteousness on me. what I'm saying is this pastor John, I gladly much like Paul forsake all the prior activity of church, bible college, "gift of tongues" for Christ. his granting me repentance, justification and the intelligence and wisdom to understand who he is so that I might be more satisfied in Him each day. I don't say I covet you're abilities but I would gladly trade as if I do truly have this "gift" I see no purpose as far as edification to God as I would if I did have yours. God bless and hopefully you'll be able to see this post.
