Spoiler: In the mission titled "The Truth, " it's revealed that the Diamond Dogs were in fact the Diamond Ducks all along. This was accomplished with plastic surgery and "induced hypnagogia" (whatever that means). The doctor administering the surgery and treatment to all those soldiers: a certified quack.
