It’s so important to remember that you can live without an apology from the abuser. Cause trust me, you’re never ever getting one. And continuously seeking one out just gives them a foothold back into your life.

Helpful yes! I'm leaving in a week and am excited and terrified at the same time. Very conflicting emotions but I have to get my daughter and I to safe place where we can be happy.

I need some healing crystals... I love this video! We ( my trigger) are still living together but not communicating with each other... it's been almost 2 weeks now. Normally, I would've gave in. It's important to me to gain strength and let him know that I'm serious. I've re-introduced me to myself I'm in love. I'm counting these 30 days down so he can go away and become another woman's issue.

Good video!  I called it flashbacks, and trigger is a good description too!  It becomes less and less over time.

Prayer should be number one. I have 3 or 4 prayers that calm me down right away. I feel much lighter and greatly empowered afterwards. Prayer is good for the soul.

4. I use earplugs to reduce the stimuli when in public and cannot remove myself.

These tios are what you can do after the trigger, when you are at home.
What if you are ambushed and can't escape? I was in a restaurant with my mother. My ex came in with his new supply, sat down next to us and fondled the new supply right in front of me. I couldn't leave because my elderly mother was with me and she was oblivious. I couldn't flee. I pretended not to notice, but it was extremely traumatic, especially with being ambushed and trapped.
