Added a Celestron NexStar 8SE and a Canon EOS 80D with a 58mm f1.2 lens (my old Minolta lens with a glass adapter). What a surprise! I am able to see more than I expected. Thanks for the video.

when using a camera only how do you remove the telescope from the list? or do you create a 'telescope' with no magnification

You didn't cover the fact that DSLR lens are added under telescopes. At least that's what I found out before seeing your video. However after adding all my various focal lengths I'm not seeing the rectangle work proper. Are you supposed to be at a certain FOV at the bottom of the app for viewing? When adding lenses under telescopes what do you put in the FOV field for each lenses focal length? Is it the FOV for that focal length. I have a chart from Nikonians that gives me the Horizontal and Vertical FOV. i.e. 300mm is 6.9 horizontal and 400mm is 5.2 horizonal.

Here's a question for you. I have a 150-600mm lens. I see that with the latest version of Stellarium, on the Ocular Plugin, my PC has Lenses. I enter 150-600mm Sigma Lens or 600mm Sigma Lens and the multiplier is at 2.0. Is this automatically set by the program or do I need to set the Multiplier Factor? I do use Stellarium for planning my night shooting on DSO's. The field of view for 600mm is 4.0. When I zoom in on a target to 4.0 how do I know if I am getting the correct view.

Having an issue with adding a lens. It's a Nikon 135mm, F/2.8, 52mm lens cap. From what you have stated earlier, I would go to Telescope, where I have to fill in Focal Length and Diameter. So, the Focal Length is 135... but for Diameter - Do I put in 52mm or am I missing something?

I have the RedCat 51... would you list it as a lens or telescope?

Another question... how can I add camera lens to to the list? I want to plan my shot, so I want to get an idea of the field of view when I am using my camera and lens on my tracker. The lens will be either my Tamaron 150-600 or 135mm Rokinon

Hi...I hope someone is still here. I'm struggling to work out the Lenses feature in the Oculars Plug-in. I can add my DSLR Lenses, which is a simple text feature, HOWEVER I don't have a clue what the MULTIPLIER value should be. HELP PLEASE. Is it a calculation? If I add my Sigma 150-600 lens into this, is there a different multiplier value when I'm using it at 150mm to when I'm using it at 600mm?

Another great video. I am using a Meade 8" LX50 and hooked up my Raspberry PI HQ camera to it. Followed your setup and the field of view I observed last night is exactly what Stellarium predicted. I found many large objects such as the moon just don't fit in the field of view of the HQ camera. However for planets, it does. Don't think I would have ever figured this out without the help of your video. What are your thoughts of repurposing a Pi HQ camera for astrophotography? Am I wasting my time and instead should I purchase a real Telescope CCD camera?
