This is one way but not the only way, other cars are different. On mine you push the whole gear knob in then it will allow you to shift into reverse.

In my car you just have to push it to r, which is below 5. No special mechanism, like any other gear shift

Some manual cars have different ways to access reverse gear. Some where you pull up the ring, Some where you push down the knob, and for the rest, you put a little more pressure.

In my car you have to pull a leather on the gear knob and then push to the left then up on Mercedes it’s sometimes beside 2nd but mine is a Vauxhall

Incorrect, the Mazda Miata 2025 you have to pull the gear shift down then shift into reverse, not all cars are the same.

None other have to be to pressed down, pull harder, put in place of a "6th gear" or turn to the side

pointless video. sure a video is useful for "how to replace the air filter on my car" but not for how to drive the thing - you need a manual licence to drive a manual, so your instructor would point this out. This video is only of any use for the day before your very first day of instruction on a manual. Next episode, where are the indicators? - that's trick question, because Audi's, BMWs and Merc's dont' come with them fitted as standard.
