Показать описание
The Firebox is a multi-purpose Super Tool for fire. It's a Multi-fuel Cook Stove able to utilize wood and other fuels found in nature, solid fuel tablets, alcohol burners, gel fuels (Sterno), wood pellets or charcoal briquettes. The Firebox's larger size and sturdy construction makes it stable enough for a large dutch oven yet it can be used with cookware as small as a camping cup. Made in the USA.

the firebox channel explains how the stove works and what the accessories are for.

The plate with the hole is the boil ring, Adam. It's made for a SS cup like the GSI. The other is I grill plate. And it's not any different than tending any other fire you would be cooking on, unless of course you are offering up a burnt sacrifice. Have had mine and used it for 2 years now, no problems, and the draft door loosens up with use, brand new mine was stiff, but not now, love it!

If weight is a big factor, the emberlit in TI may be your answer. Titanium will save you a lot of weight. If I had to choose between the two you mention, the firebox would take the win for it's versatility.

Firebox has an excellent video on adjusting the door. The boil plate is much more efficient than the cooking grate for heating water in water bottle or cup.

Hi Adam, Thanks for the review. The plate with the hole in it is the Boil Plate which is designed for your stainless steel water bottle or cup. It allows the cup or bottle to be set down into the Firebox to create a highly efficient boiling system. And the Grill Plate is great for grilling meats. Also a note, the wind damper will loosen up with use. I look forward to seeing part two and your final review where you will be more familiar with the Firebox.
All the best, Steve.

I have. i thought it was the network i'm on. glad to hear it's a youtube problem. videos just randomly restart or skip to the next video. it's really annoying.

Wow that thing is way more complicated then it should be. And 2lbs? U can do same thing with a leatherman and a large soup can.

There are lots of video on this stove. Check it out. I remember one video they flip the stove upside down and feed the wood at the bottom of the stove. Those videos are the reason that I buy the firebox stove

I did not watch anything before I Tested it out in this First Part, that was intentional. Gear should have a level of user friendliness and intuitive operation, which was expressed as one of the disadvantages of this system. This system also had several advantages because of it's multiple uses. There will be several additional parts to this video to include a final review. Here at Equip 2 Endure we test out our gear for a period of time before we review it, not after the first hour of use.

Not saying this piece of gear is not quality and that I did not enjoy it capabilities, it's just has lots of options. These qualities can very well be to the advantage to some, and the disadvantage to others. Bobby Plude has had one of these stoves for over a year, and still "struggles" with some of the attributes, not a terrible negative thing, just the price you pay for the complexity of multiple uses and utility.

This was part 1 of a test, not a review. This item will most likely have three parts. The bottom line is this is a complex stove with lots of options and will take time for the user to get use to all of it's operations. When we test out gear we test it out, and bring honest and real assessments of all of it's qualities and challenges. To produce a video that would misrepresent the ease of use with this item would be disingenuous and misleading.

The video started over for you?

I would rather have an Emberlit.
More simple and looks more stable.

the video was long, but informative. I feel like you had to use this time to accurately show us the product. Some guys brush over reviews too quickly, I'm guilty of that too LOL, but sometimes you have no choice but to demo and not just review. great video Adam! oh, and just so you know, no start over for me, but it has happened with other videos on other channels - I think its a YouTube issue.
