The RX 6700 xt is still a really good deal, until it gets out of stock

I'm respectful that there are Youtubers that are accounting for the people with less money so they also have a chance to get a Gaming PC, many people are talking about the 4080 and 4090, but there are a lot of people out here who don't have such a budget. I bet that the lower budget people many times are much happier with their device than the high budget people. The most important thing is that you're happy with your PC whatever your budget is, and not just for having the best PC and wanted to be better than others.

The 5700xt is the new 1080ti change my mind

Its 4 years old, still punching way above its league, and i can see me using mine for at least 3 years more

XTX all day long over the 4080. If the 4080 drops to about 1000 then it starts to become worth considering IMO

Picked up a RX 7600 last weekend for 180 (newegg). Had to combine a NVME to get a 70 discount. GPU and NVME for 220 shipped. There are many deals to be had if you look around. Great time to build a pc for cheap after the pandemic fiasco.

Vex, I always appreciate your “middle path” coverage on PC hardware —Your talking points are always what’s most important to the average consumer; Price, Performance, & real world utility (day tracing, encoding etc.)

You’re not trying to convince me of one brand over another or that I can’t live without a new current gen locked feature.

In a landscape full of talking heads, your channel is a real voice of reason. Thank you!

As far as flash sales, yes. Last week I caught a 7900xt on sale for 690 with a 60 dollar off newegg coupon, and I sold my 6800, so all in I paid 390 to upgrade.

It's kinda nuts just how many price points AMD controls for value. It's a shame that the RTX 40 series just isn't decent value. The 4070 looks good though with it's price cuts, and the 4090's a monster if you've got the cash to burn. I didn't realise how the used market is shaping up as well, the RTX 30 series might be lacking VRAM but it makes a lot of sense at current pricing, and I didn't realise the 3090 had dropped that much too.

An old article really said it best: In recent generations if feels like NVIDIA is selling DLSS more then video cards. And why is NVIDIA so desperate to push Ray Tracing, when it clearly hurts the FPS, and the quality difference just doesn't make up for it ...

Last week, i upgraded my GPU from RX 580 to used RX 6600 around $145. This GPU is so good, almost 2 times performance from my last GPU.
In my country, Intel GPU is really expensive for a750, around $280 - $300, not good.
Also, used 6700 xt is cheaper than new Intel A750. And yeah, 6700 xt kinda rare stock

I am a bit confused, at 16:45 you compared 6950xt and 7800xt but at 16:50 you are highlighting 6800 standard and 7700xt… looking in the table I can see the cards initially mentioned but there is a 15fps gap instead… noticed this because I ended up here looking for 7800xt info on your channel :)

People better choose a GPU (or anything in life) based on better reasons than "it's cheaper". Trying to save a few bucks shouldn't be the most important thing you consider while making a decision.

I bought the XFX Speedster 7900 XT that went on sale for Prime Day for $700 and I'm so freakin' happy with it. It was worth the money.

7800 xt is this generations best bang for the buck. I believe this $500 gpu will last a good 4 years with its 16gb of vram. Its pretty much a 4070 without the raytracing perk, and its way cheaper.

Now if you can get a 3080 ti for $500 that will blow both of them away.

If you could get a 7900 xtx for $650? That would be epic.

If you could get a 4090 for $1, well that would just be ...um ...i dont know what yhat would be.

7800 xt also came with starfield, so now i have 2 copies of starfield (gamepass, steam). Still didnt make it any good lol.

i remembered when daniel owen has the same subs count as yours now, and he is still the consistent daniel owen with direct-to-the-point but detailed videos as of now and he already got so much progress. I wish yours will be like that too. Thanks for the informative video man. really helpful

bought rx 7900 xtx, for Linux it's way better than 4080 because of opensource drivers. And if ray tracing not important 7900 xtx has more raw power than 4080 not to mention much more memory.

Dude you kind of scared the crap out of me. I just finished upgrading from a 1080 to a 3080 after 7 years. Now I see this video in my recommended and I'm like oh no don't tell me I didn't make a good choice I'm pretty sure I researched it. I purchased a used one on eBay for just a little over $400 and it runs like a dream. Feel pretty validated seeing you say how good of a card it is.

And yep I had to do what you said, upgrade that power supply

And lol it was for a 1440p upgrade and you showed the monitor that I purchased too
