Broken & Forgotten German Shepherd Found on Side of Road in Agony, Waiting for a Hero [STORY BELOW]

On November 12, 2024, Professor Haru’s life took a tragic turn. Found on the streets of Tijuana, he was barely clinging to survival after being hit by a car. His rear paw was a horrific mess—bones exposed, infection setting in, and pain we can’t even begin to imagine.

When we learned about Prof. Haru, we knew we couldn’t wait. Time was of the essence, and his life was hanging in the balance. Without hesitation, we acted, hoping the kindness of others would help fund his urgent care afterward. After rushing Haru straight to the vet, we uncovered more details about his condition, his past, and what the future might hold for him.

Prof. Haru is a stunning one-year-old German Shepherd, weighing just 55 pounds—underweight for his breed. Along with his injured paw, he’s battling anemia and ehrlichia, a tick-borne disease that brings a cascade of complications. Yet, there’s hope. His liver and kidneys are strong, and his infected paw has healed thanks to tireless care. Soon, he will undergo surgery to become a "Terrific Tripod," a life-saving procedure that will free him from his pain and give him a second chance at a happy and healthy life!
