Protein powder + Greek yogurt was good, but it gave me such bad gas and indigestion that I looked pregnant, lol. I might be lactose intolerant.

Guys mix the protein and stuff before setting the yoghurt, mix it in the milk. The result is nice and thick yogurt and you don't have to go through the pain of mixing it without lumps. Oh and it doesn't cause bloating or any issues this way

It may be an expensive weight loss trick, but I just started mixing ghost chips
ahoy whey protein powder and chobani zero sugar (zero fat, too) vanilla greek yogurt together in a bowl with nothing else. There’s also a small amount of sugar in the protein powder and more complex carbs in the yogurt, so it’s just sweet enough to be delicious and has a TON of protein compared to the calories. Keeps you feeling full, or at least less hungry, for a long time. This is coming from someone that loves to overeat!

Could you leave the yogurt in the freezer for like 20 minutes to get really cold. Not long enough to freeze or get super hard.

i started lifting 4 months ago and I knew what I need to do from past attempts.

At first, I was thinking those recipes are an exaggeration, then I found out that committing to cut 50LBs of fat means sugar cravings. I never had a sweet tooth, but now suddenly I do.

And now, inventing protein packed deserts makes perfect sense!

It’s not about source of the calories. As long as you have a caloric surplus you will not lose weight.

i mix vanilla collagen powder with greek yogurt and add dark chocolate chips and salt. gives me cookie dough vibes n helps my cravings

I use high protein no fat greek yogurt without the protein powder. It's the sweet answer i often need.

I used little protein and pb fit and one scoop of nutella, i know a mistake on nutella just for sugar but honestly it’s not too bad

Hey man I’m just getting into making my own stuff like this. What protein powder would you recommend for mixing with Greek yogurt. I’ve always used gold standard whey for drinking but idk if that’s the best option here.

I love greek yogurt cuz u can make easy high protein snack with it if mixed with whey isolate and other stuff. But why would u compare it to ice cream for weight loss? Ice cream is literally gonna cause weight increase 😂

Reminds me of the Big Daddy scene. Adam Sandler told the kid when I was your age I could eat the shake and nothing happened. Now if I eat it my butt won't stop giggling for a week!!😂

Damn I never would have thought ice cream was a poor choice for weight loss.

But seriously, if you've got an ice cream craving, Greek yogurt with protein powder ain't going to hit it. Just got to suck it up.

So does your body take 2ish hours to break that down during protein synthesis?

They say on the higher end a person can actually use around 30-40 grans of protein per HOUR.
If your body breaks that down in an hour or so you are only getting about 30-40 grams of protein from that and waisted 20-30 grams of protein.

If I'm right and your body quickly breaks that down then you should divide that into 2 snacks an hour or so apart for MAX protein benefit.

Depending on the type of protein powder it can take 2 hours or up to 7ish hours. Whey protein ISOLATE is about one hour. Whey protein CONCENTRATE is about 2 hrs. Cassien (however it's spelled) takes several hours.

If you use pure protein with isolate you are loosing some of the protein I think.

Your body can still use protein around 6ish hours after a workout to put towards muscle repair. No need to eat this delicious looking snack all at once especially if using whey isolate.

I'm not a gym rat or nutritionist but as I understand it from how fast protein can actually be used this should be right.

Looks great though no hate just some pointers. If I'm wrong please explain why I'm always trying to learn.
