Vader Fights IG-88 (CANON) - Star Wars Issue 13 Explained

In today's continuation of the Marvel Vader comics (2020) issue 13, Vader comes across IG-88! The Notorious bounty hunter just like we saw in The Mandalorian with IG-11, shows no mercy towards his opponent. The Dark Lord does his best to fight off the droid assassin in this issue of Vader.
Some other stuff happens at the end which I bring to life and explain. Somehow IG-88 keeps coming to life, which confuses me a lot.

Stay tuned for issue 14!

Thanks for watching!!

When Vader said "Luke Skywalker must die", I think he meant that as in how Anakin Skywalker died where Luke must become a new Sith apprentice.

IG-88 in canon: visibly deadly.
IG-88 in games: visibly pathetic.

IG-88 “look at this controller you idiot, can’t beat me now Vader”

Vader *force yoink*

IG-88 “oh, I have made a mistake”

I agree with you Theory, it’s an enjoyable comic and this was a cool fight but I also don’t really like them changing things that have already been established. The older Vader comics just hit differently than these ones do

Vader had no clue that Obi-Wan would become a force ghost or that it was even possible. Based on Vader's knowledge, he could only assume that Obi-Wan was indirectly referring to Luke becoming more powerful.

People act like Legends wasn't convoluted as shit too

Vader is definitely way more understanding than any sith. All the sith would kill you if you backstabbed him and Vader just sees it as an extra challenge

I also agree that I don’t like how they’re forcing the sequel trilogy era into the original trilogy era.

Are the people making these comics taking a nap while watching the original trilogy.

IG-88: "Now I have full control over your suit."
Vader: *draws uno reverse card*
IG-88: *chuckles* "I'm in danger."

Yo that droid voice is legit! Sounded like a tactical droid from clone wars. Can I get a "It's trap, you fools" lol they moment from s7 with Anakin is so funny.

So Vader being conflicted is considered breaking the lore? He was torn between serving Palpatine and wanting to kill the good in Luke by making him evil. Hell him putting he pieces in place with Obi Wan makes sense as he said in ROTJ in regards to Leia also applies to Luke as well. I don’t know why Vader has to act like a caveman in terms of keeping the lore right but it makes more sense that you wanting Younglings butchered on screen.

5:39 this is actuslly to my knowledge the fourth time this has happened in canon.
1. Cylo shut off vaders suit with a special fails safe he had in place since he designed the thing
2. Rurr the insane Jedi AI tried could also control machines but vader had learned better and hardwired his suit against hacking at least wirelessly. Which makes IG88 being able to do it strange but he iiiss damaged
3 aphra is able to directly hack into vaders voice box but only after he’s drugged and sustained a hell of a bunch of damage from other stuff.

This would be so badass in motion, especially the IG-88 fight scene! But as always, Theory does a phenomenal job bringing it to life!👏🏼

I don't think he really thinks he wants to kill Luke, I think that's Vader just trying really hard to make himself believe that's what he wants to do.
